I heard about Shane and his amazing mower reels a couple of years ago. I embarked on a project to do another (number 10) complete restoration on a Scott Bonnar 45 17” mower and chose Shane to supply the cylinder and front roller assembly. As I opened each parcel, the only word that came to mind was WOW! The engineering excellence is just perfect. Shane has redesigned the front roller to be way better than the original. Likewise the 8 blade cylinder— simply perfection. I unwrapped the cylinder and lowered it into the bearing holder and it spun perfectly true. Adjusting the blade gap was easy. I would recommend Moteck to anyone considering restoring a Scott Bonnar cylinder mower.

I bought an 8 blade 17” reel from Shane about 12 months ago. To say it’s good is an understatement. It is by far, the best Scott Bonnar reel I have ever seen. Razor sharp, perfectly balanced, this reel took me to another level. 12 months after I bought it, I have adjusted the reel to bedknife probably less than 6 times and I use this mower 2-3 times a week. I have not had a need to back lap and it does not need to be sharpened! If you are looking for the best for your Scott Bonnar, talk to Shane because he makes the best!

I’m new to the cylinder mower game and I heard of Shane’s products on YouTube. It’s obvious that Shane is a man who takes pride in his products and customers. Shane was able to guide a newbie like me through the process of purchasing one of his 8 blade reels and sole plate exchange. It’s clear Shane’s reels are of high workmanship; as soon as my new reel and soleplate were fitted to my Rover 45 they cut paper. Left my lawn looking like a dream
